The Human ElementSociety has taken out the human element. For almost everything that humans used to do, machines can do better. This has cut many jobs for humans who aren't up to par with the machines that we've created. So, to create more jobs, we hire humans to make machines to do the jobs for humans and in doing so, they cut out all the humans who aren't smart enough to make machines. Thus, we force the humans who aren't smart enough to make machines into schools and universities to become smarter and then those humans make more machines that do the jobs that humans never knew how to do in the first place. The Human Element

The rain is running races down the window and my fan is moving in that slow steady pace, circling my head. Shutting my eyes, breathing deeply, losing my limbs in my sheets. Interpol is playing and I begin to mouth the words back to the singer. My voice cracks, the deep smoker’s throaty tone seems to surprise me. He’s breathing heavy against my neck. That breathing always made me nervous in earlier days, but now I’m not sure I could sleep without it. The soft curve of his jawline, his hair falling in his face, dustinA Moment Of Being

BoxesIt was September and that season she knew all too well as having a reputation for disaster. The cardboard piled high, like little castles she would have played in as a child. Her ratty silk nightgown lay loose on her shoulders, smelling of smoke, grazing her thin thighs. She vowed to never wash that nightgown until he rose from his grave in that dusty black church suit. He always told her to she needed some meat on those bones of hers; grandmother would never approve of tiny city girls.
